Role: Accounts Payable Supervisor
Salary: $80,000 - $95,000/annually
Location: Long Island City, NY - *Hybrid following training/probationary period*
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and mentor accounts payable staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Review and approve invoices for payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage vendor relationships and supplier portal, addressing any inquiries or disputes effectively and professionally.
• Oversee the reconciliation of accounts payable transactions and meet month-end closing deadlines.
• Prepare reports on accounts payable metrics, including aging analysis and cash flow forecasts.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve issues related to invoicing or payment discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and internal control procedures (ex. W-9, 1099’s, financial audit)
• Implement and maintain processes to improve the efficiency of the accounts payable function.
• Train new team members on policies, procedures, and systems.
Qualifications and Competencies:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
• Minimum of four years of corporate accounts payable experience, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Tipalti and Netsuite, experience with ERP Systems is a plus.
