Introduction:
Join our dynamic finance team as an Accounts Payable Supervisor. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is ready to step up into a leadership role, managing high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable processes. If you are passionate about optimizing workflows, leading a team, and driving financial accuracy, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions.
Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable activities including invoice processing, 3-way matching, vendor payments, and month-end closing procedures.
Develop and implement efficient AP processes and systems to enhance productivity and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Analyze financial statements and AP reports to identify variances, resolve discrepancies, and provide accurate financial data to management.
Collaborate with procurement and receiving departments to streamline invoice approvals and improve the 3-way match process.
Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating payment terms and handling inquiries and disputes.
Train and mentor AP staff, fostering a collaborative team environment and supporting career development within the department.
Lead system improvements and projects, including software upgrades and the integration of automation tools.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Proven experience in Accounts payable, preferably as an AP Lead, with hands-on experience managing full-cycle, high-volume AP processes.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software and systems.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage, motivate, and mentor a team.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
