Accounts Payable Specialist -Temporary (Bay Area) - Lightmatter

Our finance team is looking for a temporary Accounts Payable Specialist. You will assist in handling all Accounts Payable related tasks including entering vendor invoices, credit notes, and vendors’ payment inquiries, as well as resolving PO matching and vendor payments issues.   Furthermore, you will also be assisting with month-end close activities. 

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable duties include collecting and reviewing vendor invoices, entering vendor invoices and credit notes such as PO matching and non-PO invoice GL coding
• Resolve invoice issues, address ZIP/NetSuite sync errors, and communicate with vendors
• Prepare bank reconciliation and bank transactions with manual journal entries
• Prepare company credit cards and ZIP virtual card reconciliations
• Prepare Fixed Assets schedules and reconciliation
• Ad hoc assignments

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in an Accounting position or relevant experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work-related experience 
• Strong general ledger and Accounts Payable experience
• Demonstrated strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with NetSuite and a procurement-to-pay platform e.g. Bill.com or ZIP 
• Be able to work independently, accurately, and efficiently
• Available to work between July - November 2024 with the possibility of an extension

Preferred Qualifications 

• Tax reporting experience (1099, sales & use tax) 
• Experience with Google Suite a plus
• Detail-oriented and team player
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

We offer competitive pay. The hourly rate range for this role is $46/hr - $60/hr. Your hourly rate will be determined based on location, experience, educational background, and market data.
