JOB TITLE: Accounts Payable Specialist

LOCATION: Woodbury, NY

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Temp to perm

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

Our client, a very well known and reputable food and beverages company is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. Candidate need to have 3- way matching experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for all aspects of AP
• Three way matching of invoices, purchase orders and receiving documents
• Coding of invoices
• Interact with outside vendors which includes checking status on statements and
• making sure invoices are paid on time.
• Interact with internal resources to get approvals and check status of invoices
• Cutting checks and mailing them out in a timely fashion
• Other duties may be assigned, as needed or required

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• 3 years of accounts payable experience
• Independent problem solving skills
• Proficiency in MS word and excel
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Previous SAP experience and Open text a plus
