Summary Description:The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurately processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Code invoices with appropriate general ledger account codes and cost centers.
- Enter invoices into the accounting system for processing and payment.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end close processes related to accounts payable.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper approvals and documentation for invoice processing.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and other tasks as assigned

- Invoice processing accuracy rate
- Timeliness of invoice processing and payments

- Contribution to month-end close process efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of accounts payable or related experience a must including positive pay
- Proficiency in accounting software, Intacct a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with excel and Concur software
