Accounts Payable Specialist - GA Foods

GA Foods is seeking a talented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting Department at our Corporate Headquarters in St. Petersburg. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for timely and accurate processing and payment of vendor invoices in accordance with net pay requirements, among additional tasks and responsibilities listed below.

Accounts Payable Specialist Job duties:

• Auditing invoices for correct charges and approvals
• Entering invoices into accounting software for payment
• Enter wire transfer transactions
• Researching problems and solving open AP issues
• Maintain daily filing
• Close payables by the 5th business day of the month
• Box and arrange for storage of prior year files
• Follow established procedures and controls for all associated processes
• Other duties assigned by management.

Accounts Payable Specialist Qualifications:

• Type 35-40 WPM, 10-Key, Personal Computer: Windows, Excel (req.)
• NAV/ERP exp. pref.
• Pref. 2-3 years of Accounting experience with a focus on Accounts Payable
• General Office Equipment
• Excellent written & oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be organized, flexible & able to work with little supervision
• Attention to accuracy and detail-oriented
• Ability to multitask
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a desk-bound role with typical office noise; however, frequent movement throughout the office is required. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking are daily activities. Some bending and filing may be required (<10% of time). This would require the ability to lift files (<10 lbs.), open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Over 2/3 of Time: See; Sit; Use hands to finger/handle/feel; Talk or Hear.

Position Type:

This is a full-time, non-exempt-level position based at Corporate headquarters.
