They are currently looking to add an Accounts Payable Specialist to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$21/hr – $22/hr

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for our client’s Accounting and Finance department. This position is open due to growth within the Accounting team and will also have opportunities to grow as well. The Accounts Payable Specialist oversees the financial accounts payable process, ensuring timely, and accurate processing of invoices for the HVAC Company. These duties may include daily bookkeeping and record keeping, financial reporting, and preparing tax records for financial audits. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to implement effective Account Payable strategies for our company.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Manage payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices in a timely manner.
• Oversee accounts payable using accounting software and other financial programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Handle accounts payable for multiple entities and vendors, ensuring seamless financial operations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing vendors to support ongoing business needs.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment of bills and payroll, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
• Code and process invoices for payment, ensuring proper allocation of expenses.
• Review and compare purchase orders, pricing, payment terms, and additional charges to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Process transactions and perform various accounting tasks, including account maintenance, recording journal entries, and reconciling financial records.

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is preferred.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
