About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Corporate Finance team in Puyallup, Washington. Our team supports a diverse range of clients, including municipalities, state and federal agencies, and tribes. This position offers in-office opportunities for training, mentorship, and collaboration, paired with remote-work flexibility. You will report the Accounting and Finance Supervisor and help ensure accurate and efficient accounts payable processes that align with our commitment to exceptional client service and compliance.
You Will:
Process a high-volume of invoices and ensure proper coding, approvals, and compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Reconcile bank accounts, handle ACH payments, and track fixed assets using BST10, Concur, Excel, and related software.
Investigate discrepancies, research data, and elevate issues for resolution.
Collaborate with internal and external clients to maintain relationships and provide exceptional support.
Contribute to team success by meeting deadlines, enhancing processes, and upholding quality standards.
You Have:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and/or 3+ years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable role.
Familiarity with GAAP, FAR compliance, and experience in expense reporting and payment processing.
Proficiency in BST10 (or Deltek), Concur, Sage FAS, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams is preferred; AEC industry experience strongly preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with a service-minded approach.
Compensation Information: Base salary for this position is in the range of $60,000-$75,000.
Compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, location, and role. As employee-owners, we are eligible for performance-based bonuses and our salaries are reviewed annually. We value transparency and look forward to discussing our compensation structure.
