Accounts Payable Specialist - Robert Half

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the legal industry, situated in Seattle, Washington. This role involves processing and managing customer transactions and records in a meticulous and efficient manner, as well as handling customer inquiries. This job offers a contract-to-hire employment opportunity. Responsibilities: - Efficiently handle customer credit applications - Maintain precise records of customer credit - Collaborate with the operations team to manage check requests, produce checks, and distribute them as needed - Assist the GL team with reporting requests, monthly journal entries, and various reconciliations - Support the AP team with year-end duties, including preparation and filings of Form 1099 - Manage credit card coding and reconciliation for the AP team - Research and prepare necessary documentation for audits - Contribute to the AP team in handling invoice payments - Utilize Microsoft Excel and ERP systems to perform tasks efficiently. Requirements - Proficiency in Account Coding, with the ability to accurately categorize financial transactions in accordance with the organization's chart of accounts. - Extensive experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP), including processing invoices, tracking payments, and resolving discrepancies. - Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, capable of performing complex calculations, creating pivot tables, and using advanced functions for data analysis. - Proven experience in Invoice Payment, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, contractors, and service providers. - Knowledge of Form 1099, with the ability to prepare and distribute this IRS tax form to appropriate vendors. - Familiarity with Expense Reporting, including the ability to review, verify, and reconcile expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
