Job Title: Temp Accounts Payable Specialist (Immediate Need)

Accounts Payable Specialist Pay Range: $27.00-$27.29

Accounts Payable Specialist Schedule: 8:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm on Fridays with alternating Fridays off

Accounts Payable Specialist  Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Accounts Payable Specialist  for a 6 month contract opportunity supporting a well-known Orange County based public agency!

Accounts Payable Specialist Key Responsibilities: 

• Review and process vendor invoices, reimbursements, refunds, and employee prepaid travel related expenses in a timely and accurate manner. 

• Reconcile assigned vendor statements and work with departments to bring accounts up to date, prevent potential credit holds, identify missed credits and resolve errors on a timely basis.

 Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:

• Two-Three (2-3) years of accounting experience involving the maintenance and posting of accounting, financial, and/or statistical records

• HS diploma required

• MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access

• Knowledge of purchasing and/or accounts payable practices and concepts; business English, arithmetic, and functional knowledge of accounting related documents; modern office practices and procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and use of correct grammar and spelling

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal

•  Accounts Payable Specialist Schedule: 8:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm on Fridays with alternating Fridays off
