Job Summary and Qualifications
The Accounts Payable Specialist Non-PO reviews, validates, and processes all non-purchase order invoices for payment according to the department’s policies and procedures. The Accounts Payable Specialist Non-PO accurately and timely processes invoices, assists the facilities to ensure they have appropriate information for accruals, and ensures the facilities remain in good standing with the vendor community.
- Compile and review accounts payable documents and prepare document batches for processing
- Process invoices in a timely manner
- You will record appropriate vendor, expense account number, and tax information when processing payments
- You will record all manual checks issued by the facilities accurately and efficiently
- You will maintain Recurring Logs and ensure payments are issued and recorded per instructions
- You will respond to employees, Customer Services Logs, and vendor inquiries in a professional, courteous, and timely manner
- You will prepare accounts payable reports and maintain accounts payable records according to department policies and procedures
- You will review and correct suspended voucher report daily to ensure all tax discrepancies are resolved
- You will work statements monthly for Key Vendors as identified by the AP Manager
- You will demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and comprehensive job knowledge
What Qualifications you will need:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- One-year previous accounts payable or related experience required
