Our client, a growing manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This role is essential to ensuring smooth financial operations by processing payables accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent organizational skills, and takes a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities for AP Specialist Role:

• Accurately review, verify, and process vendor invoices while ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Schedule and prepare payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• The AP Specialist will reconcile the AP sub-ledger to the general ledger monthly, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors by resolving payment inquiries and discrepancies.
• Process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Maintain and organize AP files to ensure they are audit-ready and easily accessible.
• The AP Specialist will manage AP records within the ERP system and assist with system upgrades or enhancements.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve AP processes and streamline workflows.

Preferred Qualifications for AP Specialist Role:

• Experience: 2–3 years of accounts payable experience; experience in manufacturing is a plus.
• Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with ERP systems such as Great Plains or SAP.
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication abilities.
• Problem-Solving: Capable of troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently.
