Full-Time, 40 hours per week, salaried, exempt
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the generation of Accounts Payable
checks which have been entered into the AP system, allocating all expenses to proper Programs and Grants, printing checks and mailing payments. Also responsible for working closely with vendors in resolution of invoice problems.

Philadelphia FIGHT, initially founded in 1990 as a comprehensive AIDS service organization, is now a Federally Qualified Health Center with five clinical sites, providing access to state-of-the art, culturally competent primary care, advocacy, social services, consumer education, and outreach for all patients in need. Job Responsibilities & Qualifications
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:
The duties required of the Accounts Payable Specialist will include, but not be limited to:
• Manage day-to-day AP operations and ensuring that vendors are paid timely and accurately.
• Monitor AP e-mail ap@fight.org daily, code invoices to proper General Ledger account, enter invoices into Sage AP, select invoices to be paid and issue checks.
• Distribution and accounting of Septa cards, gift cards, petty cash, Research department stipends, and any other funds that may arise.
• Responsible for maintaining adequate records of the use and allocation of Septa cards, gift cards, petty cash, stipends and any other funds to specific programs.
• Backup for payroll as needed, including review of timesheets, input into the payroll system and processing payroll.
• Reconcile monthly payable reports.
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year end close.
• Responsible for annual filing of 1099's.
• Responsible for filing of all AP invoices and payments.
• Respond to queries from vendors and staff.
• Review and resolve any vendor statement issues.
• Work with the auditors to provide documents needed for year-end audit.
• Support the CFO, Accounting Manager and Accounts Payable Supervisor with any special projects.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Microsoft Office and PC proficiency. Familiar with Chart of Accounts and General Ledger expense accounts. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to multi-task; work under pressure; meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
1. Experience using complex non-profit accounting software package. Preferably
experience with the SAGE 100 accounting system.
2. Payroll system experience, preferably iSolved.
3. Ability to work well with staff and vendors.
4. Ability to work within a diverse work environment and keep a pleasant demeanor while having interruptions.
5. Attention to detail
Physical Demands:
● Occasional lifting of 10-20 lbs. and pushing of 5-20 lbs.
● Sitting approximately 80% of the time
● Normal accessibility and mobility required
● Ability to work at a computer screen for long periods of time
Work Environment:
Generally works in an office environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field, e.g., psychology, social work, counseling, etc.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience providing case management services or similar work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with medical providers, support staff, and other professionals across multiple disciplines.
- Experience with diverse populations
