Client Overview:
Atrium is partnering with a growing, dynamic company located in the heart of Orlando. This company is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Finance team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$20/hr – $25/hr Depending on experience
Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Reviewing, verifying, and processing invoices for payment following company policies and procedures.
- Maintaining and managing vendor accounts, including setting up new vendors and updating existing vendor information.
- Preparing and processing electronic transfers and payments, issuing checks, and reconciling accounts payable transactions.
- Reviewing and processing employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Assisting in the month-end closing process by reconciling accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger and preparing necessary reports.
- Investigating and resolving any invoice discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Maintaining accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma is required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
