Accounts Payable Specialist - Robert Half

Description Robert Half is looking for an analytical and organized Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that is ready to become an essential part in a team-oriented and rapidly-expanding company. This position is long-term contract / temporary. The Accounts Payable Clerk will update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, process expense reports, resolve A/P issues, and match, batch, and code invoices. As the role progresses , more responsibilities will be assigned to the Accounts Payable Clerk. Based out of the Kent, Washington area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening. Key responsibilities - Manage full-cycle A/P - Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis - Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks - Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs - Provide internal and external audit assistance as required - Perform special projects as assigned - Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling - Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed - Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed Requirements - Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred - Prior experience in an A/P role preferred - Adeptness in Invoice Processing - Account reconciliation experience - Command of Accounts Payable (AP) - Coding Invoices experience - Experience with data entry - Check Runs experience - Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel - Excellent attention to detail - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
