We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our fast-paced Finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals in a thriving industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable transactions, maintaining financial records, and contributing to the overall financial health of the company.
Responsibilities
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will:
1. Process accounts payable transactions with precision and efficiency, ensuring all invoices are accurate, approved, and paid on time.
2. Conduct regular account reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
4. Collaborate with other departments to resolve any issues related to accounts payable, providing excellent customer service and fostering strong working relationships.
5. Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and maintain financial reports, as well as to analyze and interpret financial data.
6. Contribute to the development and implementation of accounts payable procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
7. Participate in periodic audits, providing necessary documentation and information to auditors as required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
2. Proven expertise in accounts payable processing and account reconciliation.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets, use advanced formulas, and generate detailed reports.
4. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work.
5. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial personnel.
7. A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
8. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
9. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
10. Experience with financial software systems is highly desirable.
