Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Accounts Payable Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Managing the full cycle of accounts payable activities including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management.
2. Performing monthly reconciliations of all payable accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of posted transactions.
3. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly and professionally.
4. Collaborating with other departments to streamline and improve the accounts payable process.
5. Ensuring compliance with company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to accounts payable.
6. Providing support during internal and external audits by preparing necessary reports and documentation.
7. Participating in special projects and ad hoc analyses as required.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Accounts Payable Specialist role will have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within the finance industry.
2. Proficiency in Accounts Payable Processing, Account Reconciliation, and Vendor Management.
3. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
4. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with financial software systems.
8. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
