Job Description
Vaco Richmond is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist. This individual will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and team oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of full-cycle AP experience or a recent degree in Accounting or a related field of study.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the accounting system.
Maintain vendor and customer accounts, ensuring all records are up-to-date.
Prepare and issue payments to vendors in a timely manner.
Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and receive reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Reconcile vendor statements, and research and resolve any discrepancies.
Assist in month-end closing processes.

Qualifications:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Excel and experienced with accounting ERP systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle vendor discrepancies effectively.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounts payable procedures.
