Job Summary:
The Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining positive vendor relationships. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify a high volume of invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval.
- Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system accurately and promptly.
- Prepare and perform check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and records.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address and resolve payment inquiries.
- Assist with month-end closing processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Support the finance team with various accounting tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
