Position: Accounts Payable Specialist

FT/PT Status: Full-Time Employment

Location: Fairfax, VA (Hybrid)

Education: Bachelor's in Accounting or a related field.

Overview:

Kreative Technologies is in search for a motivated Accounts Payable Specialist who will work closely with our Accounting Manager/Controller to support the operational accounting needs. The ideal candidate will be able to research and learn new tasks with minimum guidance.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable

• Review invoices for accuracy, obtain approvals, enter information into the accounting system, disburse payments

• Ensure weekly check runs

• Prepare and process ACH file for approval by Accounting Manager/Controller

• Review and process subcontractor and vendor invoices for payment.

• Setup and maintain employees in ADP workforce.

• Record Credit Card transactions

• Ensure all records are kept accurate and are available for internal and external review and compliance

• Analyze expenditure trends and provide reports in timely manner

• Ensure costs are allocated in accordance with accounting policies; analyze and report variances

• Setup projects and new hires in Unanet

• Assist with the Payroll process by approving timesheets, posting labor in Unanet and importing information in ADP.

Education/Skills/ Minimum Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's in Accounting or a related field.

• Must be highly detail-oriented and organized

• Must be proactive and have strong communications skills.

• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, and extensive knowledge of FAR.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Knowledge of A/R, A/P, reconciliations, General Ledgers, Month end closing, billing, payroll, general accounting processes.

• Experience with Government contracts or Unanet preferred
