4 Corner Resources is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Clearwater, FL area. This is a fully on-site position. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the finance department by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of invoices, processing payments, and maintaining records in the accounts payable system.
This is a 3-month contract with the intent for permanency based on performance.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:
- Examine invoices for accuracy and completeness, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Participate in the preparation and execution of check runs, verifying payment details.
- Evaluate expenses to ensure compliance with corporate policies.
- Handle both manual and electronic invoices and process them accurately and promptly.
- Verify and input invoices into the accounting system, confirming correct general ledger account numbers, due dates, approvals, and applicable discounts.
- Regularly review, reconcile, and investigate vendor and dealer statements and inquiries.
- Maintain organized records of paid vouchers.
- Ensure vendors are correctly set up, and invoices are processed with the appropriate income codes for accurate tax reporting.
- Provide exceptional customer service to vendors, dealers, and internal employees, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements and skills:
- High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two years of accounts payable experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (including basic formulas) and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
- Strong analytical skills for processing complex transactions and resolving accounting discrepancies.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, , and percentages, with knowledge of 1099 calculations, and understanding of IRS From W-9.
- Excellent customer service skills, professional telephone etiquette, problem-solving abilities, and decision-making skills.
