Accounts Payable Specialist - PSG

Professional Search Group (PSG) is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a 4-month contract with a well-established, growing company in Carlsbad, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and have an ability to accurately track and record cash flow.

Note: Hybrid work schedule.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities

• Review and record invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billing
• Preparing and posting month-end accrual journal entries 
• Process expense reports from employees Identify discrepancies and escalate in appropriate manner
• Have knowledge of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expenses
• Maintain 1099s and generate report at year end

Accounts Payable Specialist Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of high volume and complex invoice processing experience is required.
• Large accounting systems experience like NetSuite or SAP is required.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing
• Strong organizational, analytical and detail oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
