Accounts Payable Specialist - Hope for Youth

About the Job
To be a successful Accounts Payable Specialist, you must be ready, willing and able to do the following always:
- Posting Invoices with an understanding of cost allocation
- Managing the Aging A/P
- Investigate invoice discrepancies
- Scheduling and preparing checks
- Maintain files and documentation for monthly contract vouchers
- Identification of sales tax related issue
- Maintenance of fixed asset ledger
- Responsible for credit card review and monitoring
- Maintenance of non-payroll expense allocations
- Process IRS1099 forms via independent reporting portal
- Perform other resulting and necessary work to meet the needs and requirements of the clients, the program, Hope For Youth, oversight agency and any other regulatory obligations
How you will generally spend your time in this job:
- Provide administration support to senior staff
- Assist in preparing schedules on Excel
- Other Finance projects as assigned
- Audit benefit invoices to payroll (ADP) records
- Maintain tax exemption files
- Maintain vendor file information
- Prepare Purchase Orders
To qualify for this job you need to be or have at minimum:
- Associate degree in accounting or equivalent credits
- Accounts Payable (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working for a not-for-profit organization (preferred)
- Experience using Fund EZ accounting software (preferred)
- Physical Requirements: read/write reports and log entries, walking/standing/sitting for prolonged periods, bending/stooping, kneeling/squatting, climbing stairs, reaching overhead, repetitive wrist/finger movements, ongoing access to reliable vehicle and driving own vehicle for work
