About the role
We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist providing support to ensure accurate and timely processing of payables and receivables. This position has the potential to grow as the company grows. Seeking an individual who is enthusiastic, driven, and excited to take on new challenges. This person must be open to training and becoming an expert in technology, to create efficiencies within the organization. If you are a skilled multi-tasker with strong organizational skills, have a great attention to detail, enjoy working in a smaller office environment and are willing to jump in as part of the team when the need arises, then we would like to meet you!
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the complete accounts payable process including general ledger coding, data entry, approval verification, reconciling vendor invoices, resolving discrepancies, and communication with vendors regarding payment inquiries for multiple entities.
- Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Reconciling credit card statements.
- Reconcile cash transactions daily.
- Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Maintain customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, and mailing attentions.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist the Controller in reconciling accounts receivable and accounts payable monthly.
- Ad hoc projects and reports as assigned by Controller or CFO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or associate's degree and 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with accounting software is a plus (NetSuite and Tipalti).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- $25 to $35 per hour depending on relevant education and experience.
