Are you a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist or an Accounts Payable Supervisor ready to step up in your career? A Milford company is hiring an Accounts Payable Manager to lead a team of 5. The role involves hands-on full cycle Accounts Payable with a 3-way match. The hiring manager offers mentorship and training. This onsite position requires 5 days a week.

responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounts payable team and their operations.
• Code and process invoices accurately.
• Ensure prompt payment of vendor invoices and expenses while maintaining precise records and control reports.
• Identify, communicate, and resolve any aging account issues in a timely manner.
• Assess and implement technology and process enhancements to improve departmental efficiency and operations.
• Conduct detailed analysis of account variances.
• Verify that all necessary vendor identification information is collected to facilitate the accurate preparation of annual 1099 forms.
• Review and approve daily ACH and wire transactions.
• Support the accounting department with audit requests as needed.

 
qualifications:

• BS in Accounting (preferred).
• 5 plus years of experience in processing invoices within an accounts payable module.
• 3 plus years of experience with general ledger activities, month-end close processes, and reconciliations.
• Prior management or supervisory experience
