We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our dynamic legal team. This is a position that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable function, including 1099, ACH and Wires, month-end close, posting of cash receipts, expense reimbursement, and Accounts Payable Management. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Process and verify 1099 forms, ACH transactions, and wire transfers.
- Perform month-end close activities, including the preparation of financial reports and reconciliation of accounts.
- Manage the posting of cash receipts and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
- Oversee the expense reimbursement process, reviewing expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable function.
- Supervise accounts payable staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proficiency in 1099, ACH and Wires, month-end close, posting of cash receipts, expense reimbursement, and Accounts Payable Management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to make sound decisions.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a commitment to developing and motivating team members.
