Accounts Payable Manager - Fort Worth TX- Family Office
Our team is working with a leading family office located in Fort Worth Texas within their Real Estate operating company to hire an Accounts Payable Manager to their growing team. The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for improving efficiencies in the current payable process. This person will be responsible for effectively managing two accounts payable accountants and ensuring that vendors are paid timely and accurately, and invoices are coded correctly.
Responsibilities include:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department, including processing invoices in Yardi and QuickBooks Online.

Lead and motivate a team of accounts payable professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

Verify approval on all invoices and check requests.

Verify the invoice coding and allocations.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.

Update and maintain the vendor database.

Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing any inquiries or issues in a timely and professional manner.

Weekly analysis of invoice aging.

Assist with month-end close processes, including reconciling accounts payable transactions and preparing reports for management.

Ability to process and follow-up on rush items, as needed.

Assist with 1099 preparation.

Oversee program administrator working with credit card transactions in Expensify and Emburse.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline accounts payable processes and increase efficiency.

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures.

Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports and metrics to track key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, procurement, and operations, to support company goals and initiatives.

Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices related to accounts payable.

Perform other duties and special projects, as needed.

Qualifications:

4-year degree, preferably in Accounting.

Property management AP experience preferred.

Prior AP Manager experience in a fast paced, technology driven environment is advantageous.

Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with the management.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills

Proficient with MS Word and Excel.

Yardi and QuickBooks experience is a plus.
