About the Job
The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for the overall Accounts Payable operations, including the effective management of AP outsourced services vendor and the timely payment of all vendor invoices and employee claims. The role has the responsibility to ensure that all material purchases, especially Cost of Sales, are accounted for and accrued for in the financial books at month-end.
JOB FUNCTIONS
• Provides leadership in ensuring all vendor invoices, especially utilities and material purchases, and employee claims are processed and paid accurately and on time.
• Responsible for the implementation of necessary Accounts Payable operational controls to manage risks and prevent fraud.
• Provides leadership to ensure timely month-end Accounts Payable closing, including accounting of material purchases, especially cost of sales purchases.
• Manages Accounts Payable statutory obligations like Unclaimed Properties filing.
• Manages refunds to patients and insurance payers.
• Oversees the Corporate Credit Card Program Management.
• Supports both internal and external audits.
• Serves as process, control and system/application owners of all Accounts Payable-related processes/systems (both outsourced and retained services), continuously challenging processes/tools to define more efficient ways of doing things without sacrificing controls.
• Collaborates with HR on setting up guidelines on employee related claims.
• Collaborates with Procurement for what is necessary to enable processing of invoices, especially prompt payment invoices.
• Collaborates with Treasury for funding and cashflow projection requirement.
• Collaborates with Accounting, especially during month-end close, supporting costs/payable analysis.
• Operates in constant collaboration with the field to provide guidance on the Procure to
• Pay process for their adherence to support smooth business operations.
• Manages the Telecommunication team.
• Supports company programs that will help improve its financial position.
• Provides necessary information to leadership team to support decision making process.
• Responsible for tactical planning to achieve department objectives.
• Responsible for the guidance and development of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance Required
• At least 10 years of broad experience in accounting operations in the healthcare industry (preferred) or any multi-national companies.
• At least 4 years in a Managerial position.
• Recognized finance qualifications (Chartered Accountant)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent Analytical, Problem Solving, Time Management and People Management Skills as well as Hands on knowledge of Accounting/Finance processes and controls.
• Extensive knowledge on SOX controls.
• Exposure in an organization with integrated ERP Systems.
• Goal and performance oriented.
• Strong Communication Skills -- verbal and written
• Able to interact and build relationship across functions and with different levels of the organization.
• Positive attitude on changes.
• In depth knowledge of AS400 and Showcase Query or its equivalent (optional)
