Salary Range: $145,000 – 152,000 annually

What You’ll Do

This role is created due to increasing volume of AP, travel expenses and our growing business needs.
- Manage the full cycle accounts payable function including invoice review, coding, approvals and cash disbursements.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key vendors, proactively resolving complex billing and payment issues, negotiating terms, obtaining statements of accounts and ensuring seamless vendor operations.
- Spearhead the continuous improvement of ERP and AP automation tools (ex. in Coupa, QAD, Concur) and processes to increase processing speed, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
- Develop and sustain a plan for escalation of issues.
- Manage and coordinate monthly accounts payable close process, including AP, travel and other accruals, investigate any discrepancies discovered during the GL to AP module reconciliation process.
- Manage reconciliation for accounts payable, prepayments, uncashed checks and unmatched receivers.
- Lead the process interacting with cross functional department heads during period-end to review open POs and accrue for any unbilled charges.
- Direct and supervise Form 1099 processing and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial regulations, and legal standards. Lead the preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness and addressing findings as needed.
- Mentor and develop the team, setting goals and priorities for continuous improvement
- B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7 years of progressive experience in an AP or Accounting environment with 2 years of leadership experience included.
- Expertise in GL accounting, financial analysis, reporting, and presenting insights to leadership. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members for high performance.
- The ability to drive system improvements and lead automation initiatives.
- Large ERP AP system experience, as well as 1099 filing experience
- Strong Excel and business solutions software skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with finance, procurement and other teams outside of the finance org.
- Prior experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, with a focus on process improvement, audit readiness and scalability.
- Good presentation skills for educating internal clients, etc.
- Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
- Experience with QAD, Coupa, Concur
- Medical device industry experience
