Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary:

Titan Talent Acquisition is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our clients' finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices and payments. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Invoice Processing:

   • Receive and review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
   • Code and enter invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner.
   • Ensure proper approvals are obtained before processing payments.

2. Payment Processing:

   • Execute weekly check runs and electronic payments.
   • Reconcile payment transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
   • Maintain a systematic and organized record of payments.

3. Vendor Relations:

   • Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
   • Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure smooth transactions.
   • Address and resolve vendor concerns promptly and professionally.

4. Expense Reporting:

   • Review and process employee expense reports.
   • Verify supporting documentation and compliance with company policies.

5. Account Reconciliation:

   • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
   • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

6. Month-End Close:

   • Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
   • Provide necessary documentation and reports to support financial audits.

7. Process Improvement:

   • Identify opportunities for process improvements in the accounts payable workflow.
   • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience: 3 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in the construction industry.
• Software Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices and payments.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective vendor and internal communication.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
