Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for managing and processing all aspects of the MEAU’s accounts payable function. This role involves collecting and maintaining invoices, preparing and posting payment requests, and ensuring compliance with MEAU policies. The Accounts Payable Coordinator will also manage vendor relationships, handle inquiries, and resolve invoice issues. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect invoices through various methods.
- Maintain organized files of invoices payable.
- Prepare and post outgoing payment requests.
- Address vendor inquiries and resolve invoice issues.
- Distribute reports and checks as assigned.
- Manage intercompany invoices and accrue when necessary.
- Input, review, and update vendor invoices in SAP HANA/Concur
- Process and audit expense reports for policy compliance, acting
- on non-compliance.
- Create journal entries to correct miscoded expense charges after
- research.
- Support the year-end 1099 process, ensuring all vendors receive
- their forms in a timely manner.
- Become a superuser of Concur modules.
- Train employees in system usage.
- Reconcile discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end accounting closing as assigned.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable process.
- Participate in projects and initiatives aimed at improving the overall AP function.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Education, Skills, and Experience
- High school diploma with relevant coursework; an associate’s degree in accounting is a plus.
- 3-5 years of related experience.
- Proficient in computer data entry, 10-key adding machine, and PC spreadsheet preparation (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent accuracy in data entry.

The listed salary range is approximate and reflects the anticipated compensation for this position as determined by salary analysis; both internal and external to MEAU.Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills and experience. Compensation may also vary due to market factors.MEAU retains the right to adjust compensation based on business needs.
Expected Salary: $47,685 - $58,905
