About the Job
The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for accurately managing the company’s payables, ensuring timely and correct payments to vendors. This role involves implementing effective processes and controls to maintain compliance and contribute to the accurate representation of the company’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with vendors, past and present, to ensure payments are accurate and timely.
- Collaborate with internal personnel to confirm all invoices are correctly posted and paid on time.
- Maintain and update vendor business partner records.
- Prepare and process payments, including checks and other payables, on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Submit payables payments through Corpay on a weekly schedule.
- Pull, reconcile, and post vendor-related payables, including credit card payments and expense reimbursements.
- Reconcile vendor statements with payables monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the creation and/or approval of wire transfers.
- Maintain control and organization of posted documents.
- Support the completion of the annual review and audit processes.
- Reconcile selected general ledger (GL) accounts before month-end close.
- Coordinate and oversee accounts receivable tasks with branch office managers across the organization.
- Generate and provide regular reports on accounts payable activities.
Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred).
Experience:
- 3–5 years of accounts payable experience (required).
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities to ensure the company’s financial obligations are managed accurately and efficiently.
