Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Coordinator
- Verify, review, and process invoices, check requests, and expense reports.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Communicate with vendors to address payment inquiries and maintain accurate vendor account information as an Accounts Payable Coordinator.
- Prepare and distribute accounts payable checks and manage electronic payments.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions to ensure success in the Accounts Payable Coordinator role.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations, including preparing and filing forms.
- Generate and analyze accounts payable reports for management.
- Assist with month-end closing and year-end audit processes.
- Coordinate with the field AP team and provide feedback for process improvements.
- Support the ERP conversion to Sage Intacct for enhanced efficiency as an Accounts Payable Coordinator.
Requirements for the Accounts Payable Coordinator
- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, ideally in an Accounts Payable Coordinator capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software and strong Excel skills (assessment required).
- Construction industry experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct, Titanium, or similar accounting tools is a plus.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
