Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our fast-paced team in the Energy industry. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals dedicated to financial excellence. You will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle of accounts payable processes, from invoice posting to issuing payments. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a knack for numbers, then this could be the perfect role for you.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the full cycle of accounts payable activities including PO Approvals, invoice posting, and issuing payments.
2. Review and verify invoices and check requests, set invoices up for payment, and track expenses and process expense reports.
3. Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, including ACH payments.
4. Reconcile accounts payable transactions, monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date, and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
5. Produce monthly reports, assist with month end closing, and provide supporting documentation for audits.
6. Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors to respond to inquiries.
7. Process 1099 reporting annually and maintain accurate and complete financial records.
8. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Qualifications:
1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably in the Energy industry.
3. Proficient in PO Approvals, invoice posting, issuing payments, entries, Invoices, AP, ACH payment, Accounts Payable Invoicing, Approving Invoices, 1099 reporting, and Full Cycle Accounts Payable.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ability to handle confidential information.
5. Excellent numerical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
6. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
9. Experience with accounting software and databases, with a preference for candidates with experience in industry-specific software.
