Job Description

Summary

The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for processing vendor invoices, reconciling accounts and making payments accurately and on time.

Essential Job Functions

Accounts Payable

• Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Enter invoices into the accounting system and assign appropriate general ledger codes.
• Process weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile multiple credit card statements with supporting documentation each month.
• Review and process employee reimbursements.

Document & Reporting

• Obtain necessary approvals for all payment transactions.
• Assist with month-end close process related to accounts payable.
• Maintain accurate filing records.

Communication & Collaboration

• Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact information and payment terms.
• Assist in responding to both internal departments and external vendors regarding payment issues.

Requirements

Experience Required

• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Education Required

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Associate’s Degree in Business, or related field is preferred
