In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to handle invoice processing, vendor payments, and financial recordkeeping for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate payments, maintain compliance with industry standards, and support the financial operations of our growing team.
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
- Process and verify vendor invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments.
- Ensure compliance with lien waivers, retention, and other construction-specific requirements.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized AP records and documentation for audits.
- Communicate with vendors and project managers to address payment issues.
- Prepare AP reports and support month-end closing.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in construction.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of construction billing processes, including retention and job costing, is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
