Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk with experience in 3-way matching to join our growing Accounting team. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintain compliance with company policies, and provide critical support for financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, receiving reports, and vendor invoices.
- Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice coding and entry.
- Ensure timely payment to vendors in accordance with agreed terms.
- Reconcile discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice or payment issues.
- Assist with month-end closing processes, including AP aging reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records and payment history.
- Support the finance team in audits and other compliance activities.
- Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred).
- Proven experience in accounts payable with knowledge of 3-way matching processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with vendors and team members.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
