Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and issue payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain an organized filing system for invoices and other related documents.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and month-end closing processes.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues and answer inquiries.
- Assist with audits and other financial tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred).
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or other financial tools).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles.
