Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing accounts payable transactions, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, and supporting the financial operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage all incoming invoices and payments.
- Verify, code, and match invoices to purchase orders and receipts.
- Prepare and process checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ledgers.
- Resolve any discrepancies related to vendor payments and billing issues.
- Reconcile vendor statements and track outstanding balances.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare reports related to accounts payable activity.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable.
- Perform additional clerical duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred).
- Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance-related role is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
