The Accounts Payable Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the company by ensuring that its accounts payable obligations are met accurately and efficiently.
- Vouchers all invoices into Accounts Payable
- Make sure to review all invoices for accuracy and receive approval from appropriate staff.
- Process payments for any vendors
- Provides sales tax documents to vendors so CW is not charged sales tax
- Contacts vendors if there are any discrepancies with the invoices
- Reviews open payables monthly to ensure all vendors are paid timely
- Tends to clerical duties related to specific area of responsibility
- Performs miscellaneous data entry function as directed
- Collects data and verifies accuracy
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two (2) years of Accounts Payable experience (Preferred)
- Must be able to instruct others on how to operate any software relevant to Accounts Payable
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must be able to work as a team
- Must be able to operate all Microsoft Applications proficiently
- Ability to plan and organize
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong sense of urgency; self-directed
- Associate degree in related field (Preferred)
- Strong commitment to a high level of service and quality standards.
- Proficient technological and computer software skills.
