Accounts Payable Clerk

Our client is a steadily growing construction and architecture firm who are looking to add an Accounts Payable Clerk to their Accounting Team.

Location: Farmington, CT
Compensation: 48K-53K
20 PTO Days plus the week between Christmas and New Years OFF
Summer Fridays in June!

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk:

• Post vendor invoices, prepare and process regular check runs and transactions for electronic payments to vendors.
• Perform reconciliation each month between A/P subledger and general ledger
• Prepare month-end accrual journal entries for vendor invoices not yet received
• Actively investigate and resolve difference in vendor statements and A/P balances

Preferred Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Clerk:

• 1+ years of experience in similar full-cycle A/P role
• Recent graduates with a focus in accounting or finance encouraged to apply regardless of experience
• The Accounts Payable Clerk should have basic knowledge of Excel
• Recognizes urgency in solving problems and completing critical work
