Hourly: $22/hr-$24/hr
Position Summary
As an Accounts Payable Clerk you provide financial, administrative, and clerical services to ensure accuracy and efficiency of operations. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of accounts payable experience. Ideal candidates will handle full cycle accounts payable duties, which include matching of invoices, batching, coding invoices, handling check runs and vendor management. This individual will also be responsible for various administrative tasks around the office.
The Accounts Payable Clerk performs a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties according to established policies and procedures. This position works with department managers to accomplish tasks as needed. Strong organizational skills are required.
Basic Responsibilities
- 3-way matching, G/L account, coding of invoices, expense reports and data entry
- Ensure input and timely payment of all vendor invoices
- Handle full-cycle accounts
- Verify and process all accounts payable documents
- Record payments and maintain a bookkeeping system
- Perform basic clerical duties
- Work with vendors and internal team to resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with the Asst. Controller & Controller to maintain department goals and general A/P
- Participate in departmental projects and goals as needed
- Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services
- Ability to work a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Automated accounting software experience
- Multi-task and work under strict deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word /Excel
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and practices
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures
- At least 2 years A/P experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
