Accounting Clerk ll
Description
Provide accounting support to the Community Development Department by supplying information on transactional data and financial procedures, especially as they relate to accounts payable and vendor invoices
Reviews Accounts Payable invoices for accuracy, obtains necessary approvals, applies correct coding, matches to Purchase Orders, and enters payments in the financial system, Munis
Enters requisitions to set up new Purchase Orders
Contacts vendors over the phone and via email regarding account discrepancies and resolves issues accordingly
Maintains files for invoices and other financial records
Provide backup to Accounts Receivable transactions on an as-needed basis
Requirements
Knowledge of Accounts Payable and payment processes
Proficient with one or more financial systems
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
Excellent customer service skills
Additional Information
Schedule: 32-40 hours per week (M-F); 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (flexible to an hour range between 7-5:30)
