Are you a numbers enthusiast with a knack for precision and detail? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We're seeking a seasoned Accounts Payable professional to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you'll play a crucial role in managing our company's financial operations. You'll be responsible for the reconciliation of credit card statements, supporting audits, and managing vendor accounts.
Responsibilities:
As our Accounts Payable Specialist, your duties will include but won't be limited to:
1. Managing the full cycle of accounts payable activities including vendor setup and management, invoice processing, payments, and query handling.
2. Reconciling credit card statements accurately and timely, ensuring all transactions are accounted for and properly posted.
3. Supporting internal and external audits by preparing necessary documents and reports, and providing insights on accounts payable processes and controls.
4. Maintaining vendor accounts, resolving any discrepancies, and fostering strong relationships with our vendors.
5. Collaborating with other team members in the Accounting and Finance department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
6. Identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable function.
7. Ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you should possess the following:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or a similar capacity within the Accounting and Finance industry.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3. Proven experience in reconciliation of credit card statements, supporting audits, and managing vendor accounts.
4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
5. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle high volumes of data.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies swiftly.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal team members.
9. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
