This company is looking to add an Accountants Payable Analyst to the team. The Accounts Payable Analyst will be involved in full cycle AP functions and to ensure accuracy and efficiency of operations. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities For Accounts Payable Analyst
- Set up and maintain vendor files and W9 forms
- Primary point of contact for all technology - Systems "Super User"!
- Receive, review and verify invoices and check requests
- Post invoices into accounting system on a daily and timely basis while ensuring invoices are coded to the correct GL accounts and cost centers
- Ensure invoices are correctly approved at the appropriate level prior to payment
- Reconcile vendor statements with vendor ledgers
- Communicate with vendors to resolve account discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries
- Record fixed asset acquisitions, understand capitalization rules, maintain depreciation schedule and record deprecation journal entries in the accounting system; runs fixed asset reports
- Assist in the reconciliation for balance sheet accounts such as: prepaid expenses and accrued liabilities; assist with the month-end and year-end closing
- Provide supporting schedules and documentation for the annual audit
- Work closely with the Controller on various analyses and process improvement optimization projects
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and special tasks, as assigned
Requirements for Accounts Payable Analyst
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not required
- 2+ years of experience with full cycle AP in a mid to large sized company
- Solid understanding of GAAP/General Accounting
- Proven attention to detail, excellence in timeliness, accuracy and consistency of data entry
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Technologically savvy
