A nonprofit organization in Anne Arundel County, MD seeks an Accounts Payable Analyst
Responsibilities
· Provide Accounts Payable support, and education on Self-Directed Services budget sheets and related budget documentation submitted to the participant's team.
· With support from the AP team, review outstanding or denied invoices and communicate with stakeholders the necessary steps to process payment or issue resolution.
· Recover participant funds disbursed in error due to overpayment or duplicate payment working with vendors to obtain refunds or re-payment.
· With the support of the financial reporting team, reconcile discrepancies between the payment and billing systems to ensure accurate budget reporting for each participant.
· Review invoices and other vendor reimbursements to contract requirements including but not limited to availability of funds and proper justification documentation for payment.
· Review A/P entries for accuracy before disbursements are prepared using FMSE & Bill.com.
· Process invoices and vendor reimbursements to contract requirements.
· Develop quick and effective solutions to address challenges.
· Analyze, and process the self-directed budget sheet and related documentation and support the timely responses to vendors and participants.

Experience/Education
· HS diploma or equivalent required; BS in business preferred
· Minimum of two year of experience in Accounts Payable or Financial Reporting
· Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations and age groups
