We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a hybrid role, offering an exciting opportunity to blend remote and on-site work. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable functions. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail, and possesses a strong understanding of financial accounting.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will:
1. Process, verify, and reconcile invoices and vendor statements efficiently and accurately.
2. Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and accurate.
3. Utilize SAP and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data.
4. Prepare financial reports, highlighting any significant issues or discrepancies.
5. Conduct financial analysis, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
6. Collaborate with other departments to improve financial procedures and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
7. Resolve any accounts payable issues that arise, liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders as necessary.
8. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
9. Participate in financial audits, providing all necessary information and documentation.
10. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying this knowledge to your role.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable or similar role.
2. Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant financial software.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger functions and financial accounting.
4. Experience in financial analysis, with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data effectively.
5. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional qualifications would be a plus.
6. Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. A proactive approach, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
10. Knowledge of the manufacturing industry would be advantageous, but not essential.
