Job Summary:The Accounts Payable Clerk assists with the compiling, processing, and maintenance of accounts payable records.Essential Functions: 1. Focused. Review, code and verify invoices are properly entered into the financial system with supporting documentation.2. Dedication. Prepare and process weekly batch check runs, wire transfers and ACH.3. Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records4. Assist with monthly status reports and monthly closings.5. Mastery. Reconcile various vendor statements.6. Respect and engage. Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.7. Ownership and caring. Monitor credit card expenses, ensure charges are posted correctly and reconcile to the statement.8. Mastery. Update and maintain vendor database.Requirements, Education and Experience:1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required.2. A minimum of 1 - 3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.3. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.5. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.6. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.7. Ability to interface well with vendors and other departments.8. Proficient written and verbal English communication skills9.
