How You Will Make an Impact?
The Accounts Payable Administrator will enter invoices for payment, follow up on receiver problems and process batches for input to general ledger and sub-ledgers and post results. The position is responsible for creating batches for check printing, check run processing and reconciliation of supplier statements.
The Nuts and Bolts
Enter AP invoices for payment after verifying that appropriate approvals are present. Post transactions to AP system and GL.
Match AP invoices against receipts where required. Post transactions to AP system and GL. Follow up with plant and purchasing employees to resolve problems.
Create AP checks based on customer terms and company payment policy. Transmit check information to bank. Post to AP system and GL.
Process receiver batches for posting to GL.
Reconcile monthly vendor statements.
Process journal entry for AP accruals.
Responsible for imaging and record retention of all accounts payable documents.
Manage vendor relations and answer incoming calls.
Assist the Accounting team with gathering support documentation for all audits.
Required Credentials
- High school education
- Data entry experience
- Strong typing skills
- AP / AR experience, preferred
You Must Be Able to
Working in an office environment in a seated position a minimum of eight hours per day is required.
The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
