With a focus on quality and forward-thinking practices, our client pioneers solutions that redefine industry standards. They are seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join their team. Please note, this is a contract-to-hire position.
Essential Functions for the Accounts Payable Accountant:
- The Accounts Payable Accountant will process and manage full-cycle accounts payable, including verifying, coding, and posting invoices.
- Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
- Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update vendor records, including W-9s and other compliance documents.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate coding and approval of expenses.
- Monitor and address aged payables to ensure timely payments.
- Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
- The Accounts Payable Accountant must be able to work in fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of invoicing and experience using Accounting ERP software.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
